Repost: Following the Israel-Lebanon Crisis
I'll start by saying that I am not anti-Israel and I believe it has a right to exist as a nation, as every other nation does. It also has a right to defend itself. However, what Israel is doing is not defending itself, instead, it is conducting it's own state sanctioned terrorism against a weak fledgling state. If you want to read some intelligent and alternative commentary on the Israel-Lebanon crisis, then check out The Osterley Times. Kel manages to pull in and analyse a lot of news reporting on the situation.
I found this post particularly disturbing. The creeping smile on the little girls face in the second image is haunting. Still, Israel is not the first nation to employ this tactic against the enemy. Terror groups in Afghanistan, The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka, The Democratic Republic of Congo and the Lords Resistance Army in Uganda have all used brainwashing on children to fuel their conflicts.
